Simple Daily Habits To Feel Better As Moms With Neurodivergent Kids

**TOP 2% Globally Ranked Podcast**

Do you wake up already exhausted, no matter how much sleep you get?
Does brain fog make it hard to think straight or keep up with your kids?
Do you feel guilty for resting even though your body is worn out?
Are you trying to take care of your health without adding more stress to an already full plate?

Welcome to Chronic Illness Moms — a podcast for moms living with chronic illness while raising neurodivergent kids. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, inflammation, and overwhelm, this is your place to find support that actually fits real life.

Here we focus on simple, healthy habits that help you get better sleep, reduce stress, and feel better in your body — without complicated routines or pressure to do more. These are small, doable shifts that work with your energy instead of against it.

I’m Ashley — a wife, mom, and health coach who’s spent years navigating chronic symptoms, burnout, and a body that wouldn’t keep up. I tried the strict plans, the supplements, and the “just push through” approach — and all it did was leave me more exhausted.

What finally helped was learning how to support my nervous system and build tiny habits that actually worked in real mom life. Now I help other moms do the same so they can have more energy, think more clearly, and show up for their families without falling apart.

If you’re ready for natural, realistic ways to feel better — even in the middle of neurodivergent family life — you’re in the right place.

So grab your herbal tea, hide in the laundry room if you have to, let’s start building habits that help you feel better again.

Hey friend,
Do you wake up feeling puffy, inflamed, or sluggish?Could your fatigue and brain fog be connected to lymphatic stagnation? What simple habits could help support your lymphatic system?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.
This podcast is for chronic illness moms raising neurodivergent kids who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits to finally feel better in their bodies. Each episode shares nervous-system-friendly support to help you calm overwhelm, boost energy, and practice healthy habits that improve your symptoms — even in the middle of a full, demanding life.
The lymphatic system plays an important role in immune health, inflammation balance, and detox pathways. Unlike the circulatory system, it relies on movement and hydration to circulate lymph fluid.
When lymphatic flow slows down, it can contribute to fatigue, brain fog, puffiness, and inflammation.
In this episode we talk about simple ways to support lymphatic flow through daily habits like dry brushing, gentle movement, hydration, lymphatic massage, and herbal lymphatic support.

Hey friend,
What helps your kids feel emotionally safe at home? How does the environment of your home affect your children’s nervous systems?Could small shifts in your home help everyone feel calmer?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.
This podcast is for chronic illness moms raising neurodivergent kids who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits to finally feel better in their bodies. Each episode shares nervous-system-friendly support to help you calm overwhelm, boost energy, and practice healthy habits that improve your symptoms — even in the middle of a full, demanding life.
In last week’s episode we talked about making your home a soft place to land for you as a mom by reducing environmental stress.
In this episode, we expand that idea and talk about how creating emotional safety for your kids can transform the entire atmosphere of your home.
When children feel safe and supported, their nervous systems regulate more easily — and that regulation affects everyone in the household. Small environmental shifts can support emotional regulation, reduce stress, and help your home feel calmer for both parents and kids.

Have you ever wondered if your nighttime habits might be keeping your nervous system alert?
Could small changes to your nighttime environment help your body get deeper, more restorative sleep?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.

Many moms struggle with sleep issues, fatigue, and feeling like their nervous system never fully settles at night.
In this episode, I talk about several small nighttime habits that may be quietly keeping your body in alert mode instead of allowing it to fully rest and recover.

You’ll learn simple ways to adjust your nighttime environment so your nervous system can move into deeper, more restorative sleep.

Do you ever feel like you’re carrying a lot emotionally but rarely have space to sort through those feelings?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.

Parenting neurodivergent kids can bring incredible love and joy, but it can also bring moments of grief, frustration, and helplessness that many moms carry quietly.
Over time, those unresolved emotions can contribute to chronic stress, emotional burnout, and nervous system overload.
In this episode, I talk about how emotional stress builds in the body, why it’s important to process difficult emotions, and how small habits can help close the stress cycle so those feelings don’t stay trapped in the body.
You’ll also learn simple examples of habits from the Power 9 framework that help support emotional recovery and resilience during difficult seasons.

Hey friend,
Have you ever noticed that some weeks your sleep works and other weeks it completely falls apart?
Do you ever wake up at 2 or 3 a.m. and wonder why your body suddenly won’t settle?
Have you asked yourself, “Why am I so tired all the time?” even when you’re trying to take care of yourself?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.
This podcast is for chronic illness moms raising neurodivergent kids who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits to finally feel better in their bodies. Each episode shares nervous-system-friendly support to help you calm overwhelm, boost energy, and practice healthy habits that improve your symptoms — even in the middle of a full, demanding life.
If you’ve ever felt like your sleep and energy change week to week, you’re not imagining it.
Women’s hormones operate differently than men’s. Men’s hormones reset on a 24-hour clock, while women’s hormones shift throughout a monthly cycle, which means your body’s recovery needs can change week to week.
In this episode, I explain why the second half of the cycle often leads to sleep disruption, fatigue, and energy crashes, especially for women already managing chronic illness, stress, or poor sleep.
You’ll learn what is actually happening in the body, why these weeks can feel harder, and how simple habits from the Power 9 framework can support your body’s recovery.

Hey friend,
Do you feel anxious and overstimulated even when nothing big is happening?
Are you tired all the time but still wired at night?
Do you snap at your kids and then wonder why your body couldn’t calm down?
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodivergent family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.
This podcast is for chronic illness moms raising neurodivergent kids who want stress relief, better sleep, and simple, realistic habits to finally feel better in their bodies. Each episode shares nervous-system-friendly support to help you calm overwhelm, boost energy, and practice healthy habits that improve your symptoms — even in the middle of a full, demanding life.
If you feel anxious, overstimulated, and tired all the time — but can’t figure out why your body won’t calm down — your breathing pattern may be part of the problem.
In this episode, I explain how shallow breathing keeps your nervous system stuck in low-level fight-or-flight, why that leads to burnout symptoms, chronic stress, sleep disruption, and exhaustion, and how to use simple, repeatable resets to support your nervous system.
You’ll learn:
How shallow breathing fuels anxiety and fatigue
Why you feel wired and exhausted at the same time
How to use the longer exhale reset during hard parenting moments
A 2-minute floor reset to calm your nervous system
How Air (Power 9) supports Stress and Rest naturally
If you’ve been asking, “Why am I so tired all the time?” — this episode connects the dots.

Hey friend,
What happens at 5PM on the days when you truly don’t have it in you to cook?
Do you default to drive-thru, snacks, or skipping meals when your fatigue or stress is high?
What would change if your freezer answered “What’s for dinner?” before you had to think about it?
In this episode, I finish our pantry series with something most of us don’t plan for: the nights when cooking simply isn’t possible.
Not the “I don’t feel like it” nights. The “my body is done” nights. The “if I have to think about dinner, I might cry” nights.
I walk you through a simple 3–2–1 Freezer Plan designed for chronic illness moms navigating stress, fatigue, brain fog, and burnout symptoms.

Hey friend,
Does noise make your brain fog worse?
Do you feel tired all the time by mid-morning in a loud house?
Are you blaming yourself for not being able to focus?
If your house is loud and your productivity disappears by 10am, you’re not failing — your nervous system may be overloaded.
In this episode, I explain why constant interruptions and sensory input can worsen brain fog, fatigue, and chronic stress — especially in neurodivergent homes. I walk you through practical, home-based strategies like parallel play productivity, body doubling, short sprint work blocks, and simple noise control methods that protect your energy instead of draining it.
You don’t need a quieter life to get things done. You need a nervous-system-friendly way to work inside the noise.
I’m Ashley — a mom living with chronic illness in a neurodiverse family. If you’re dealing with constant fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, and broken sleep while trying to keep up with your kids, you’re not alone.

Hey friend,
Have your “go-to” healthy meals started feeling boring or heavy?
Do you feel tired of rotating the same dinners, even though they used to work?
Could your default meals be out of sync with the current weather?
If your go-to healthy dinners suddenly feel boring, heavy, or harder than they should, you’re not doing anything wrong.
In a neurodivergent or neurodiverse home, repetition can be helpful — until it isn’t. And when you’re tired all the time or navigating low energy, even healthy habits that once felt simple can start feeling like work.
In this episode, I explain why healthy dinners naturally stop working at certain points in the year — and how building two simple seasonal meal lists (spring/summer and fall/winter) supports healthy living without creating more stress.
Instead of constantly searching for new recipes or overhauling your pantry, I’ll walk you through how to rotate your go-to meals seasonally so they align with the weather, your energy, and your family’s rhythm — especially in a neurodivergent household where predictability and flexibility both matter.
You’ll learn:
• Why healthy dinners start feeling stale• How many meals you actually need per season to support sustainable healthy habits• How to build seasonal meal lists over time (without pressure)• How to realign your pantry to support healthy living without starting over
